jillboltetaylor21Jill Bolte Taylor, a brain researcher had a brain explosion, which led to some of her most powerful creative insights. Her insights were captured in slow motion after she realized a blood vessel had exploded in her brain. She watched, ringside as her brain function shut down her motion, speech, memory, and self-awareness.

But most fascinating, the opposite hemisphere of her brain – still intact, was able to view the word from a more cosmic perspective. This powerful right side of the brain was able to view Jill’s predicament with fascination and awe.

Taylor spent eight years recovering her ability to think, walk and talk. She has also become a spokesperson for stroke recovery. Even though Jill travels the country on behalf of the Harvard Brain Bank and as the “Singin’ Scientist” her insights reveal far more.

The real question is: Did Jill have a multidimensional experience? Without the aid of her left-brain, her right brain was free to interpret the world. What happens if we could balance the left-brain with the right-brain during an experience? What would you call it?

Would being aware of both the left-brain and right-brain during an experience create a totally new multi-dimensional experience? Or is this multi-dementia? Is this the first step to enlightenment or ascension as some would like to think? Do you have to feel like you are going crazy before you can put all the pieces back together?

Isn’t Jill’s experienced eluded to by the great Saints, Yogis and perhaps even Christ? Have we forgotten the cosmic perspective of our life? Can we help change how we interpret our word by inviting in our right-brain cosmic perspective?

Can we do this without having a stroke? How cool is this?

“How many brain scientists have been able to study the brain from the inside out? I’ve gotten as much out of this experience of losing my left mind as I have in my entire academic career”. – Jill Bolte Taylor.
