From the desk of EnoggEggbert

Welcome to EnoggEggbert.com!

You are probably wondering, what is Enogg Eggbert? So far, it’s a blog. But what’s an Enogg Eggbert? What’s it going to “be” you may ask? What’s it going to “do”?

These are good questions.

Let’s start with the roots of Enogg Eggbert. Every good duck had to hatch from an egg. So here’s our hatching story:

As a child, Enogg had two brothers. They are very dear boys and very smart. Enogg was the baby sister. The three little kids loved to go to the library. They always checked out the same books. One of the books had pages of tongue twisters. In particular, the tongue twister entitled, Enogg Eggbert caught their attention.

The three would make their dad read the tongue twister over and over and giggled in delight as he stumbled over the words. Eventually, their dad bought the book and would read the children tongue twisters each night before bed. They made him read Enogg Eggbert, treating it with the same excitement as the night before Christmas. They always felt wide-eye anticipation for the stanzas of their favorite tongue twister.

Enogg was a name that elicited peals of laughter from the children. As older brothers will do, the name stuck with the youngest sibling. It wasn’t her real name. It became a nickname that at times was used in jest or when the brothers pulled one of their sandbox antics.

Being called Enogg, was both an affectionate name and well, something she didn’t want others to hear unless they knew the tongue twister. After all, who would name their kid Enogg?

In time the book slowly got old and torn. The children grew older. They moved to different states, went to college, traveled the world, experienced life’s ups and downs, had a few marriages (some more than others) and had families of their own.

But those three kids could still remember Enogg Eggbert. Even as the book was succumbing to age, they could still rattle off, without blinking, their favorite tongue twister.

Are you curious about this tongue twister?

OK. Here it is. Try to say it real fast and entertain your family, friends and your kids.

Enogg Eggbert ate an empty Eggshell. If Enogg Eggbert ate an empty eggshell… Where’s the empty eggshell, Enogg Eggbert ate?

Crazy, huh?

And, if you are the philosophical type- where did that empty eggshell go, if Enogg Eggbert ate it? But it was empty… how did she eat an empty eggshell?

So that’s the history. I am Enogg. And sometimes I am EnoggEggbert.

I am told that one of my brothers has that tongue twister book filed away in a box.  I promise to provide the name and title to give credit to the author.

So what are we doing over here at Enogg Eggbert? What are we hatching?

Are you egging me on?

I don’t want to have egg on my face, but we are hatching something. It’s over the top and beyond fabulous. But for now, we are going to build a blog and share our collective thought-leadership.

Now is the time to tell you about Eggbert. I have known him for years, but as the world turns, our lives crossed again. He is a smart lad. He’s not going to like that I called him a lad – so don’t tell him. I like to call him a smarty-pants. I decided to give him the name Eggbert. He laughed.

He is the best Information Technology guy this side of a cracked egg. You can tell him I said that! He says yes to every thing and smiles a lot. He keeps his sense of humor when Enogg (that is me) is off brainstorming something new. I asked him if he could build a computer that will cook an egg (I like them scrambled) and produce wonderful smells, like the ocean, all while surfing the Internet. He said, “sure”. Good answer!

Hope you don’t mind my egg humor. But an egg, our egg, signifies the beginning. It’s like Martha Stewart’s muffin. My friend, Hen (oh yes, I REALLY do have a friend named Hen) told me that Martha built an entire empire from the concept of one muffin. Go Martha.

We are starting with one egg. Our blog. Then we are going to add all sorts of amazing things that are still on the drawing board. We are building something really cool from the place of an egg. Our tag line is:(it came from a contributing Eggster, Suzanne)

Two Eggs are Better than One.

The bottom line is, we are a collection of really smart people who will share our ideas with you. In return, we hope you share your really great ideas too. That way we all learn. Our topics will be about marketing, business, technology, health and we may just dabble in quantum cool ideas.

We will stay away from politics and religion because we aren’t that smart. Or maybe we are.

So, there you have it.

Respectfully yours, EnoggEggbert
